There's an App for That!

Do you struggle with getting dimensions exact on your artwork?  UGGGH! terribly frustrating. What if there were an easy solution using your phone?
Here at CDBC we are working on creating a one of kind app, which is very difficult to say these days.
The name of the this wonderful creation is called ProjectArt.  This App allows users to take an image off of their phone and using the LED light from camera cast a layout/outline of that image onto a wall, paper, wood, person, or whatever you like.
Using that cast outline the user will then be able to trace the image with perfect proportions and any possiblity of dimensions.

This may be deemed as a cheat tool however for beginning artists it can still be useful in learning and understanding size and dimension.  Slowly over time the eyes will understand how to look at the picture and the app will seem more like a crutch.  This App will save time and energy so we here feel that it is a must for all amateur artists.  Available for all phones and tablets. Release date is set for October 24th, 2015

Let's get busy!

This month CDBC will be supporting this wonderful non profit organization KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL.  Their main goal is to improve our public places.  We at CDBC can appreciate the hard work that this group performs and could not idly stand by without putting some real elbow grease into our own local community.  I've heard that many small changes can have lasting effects.

In an effort to support these goals we will be teaming up with GRAFFITIHURTS to repaint some of the most dilapidated and graffiti ridden places here in Eau Claire Wisconsin.  It is important to have pride within any community.  Although as an artist I can appreciate some Graffiti as works of art, there must be structure and rules to be followed when you belong to a society.  We are all in this together.
